Cub Scouts hold Pinewood Derby

Chester Cub Scout Pack 4430 held their pinewood derby race on January 18, 2010 at the St. Mary’s Youth Center. The Boy Scout Troop 1430 joined them to race together. Winner for the Cub Scout for Best Design was Alex Laas first and Cory Kelly second. In the race it was Alex Laas first and Cory Kelly second. For the Troop Best design went to Trevon Pfaff first and Erik Kelly second. In the Troop racewinners was Erik Kelly first and Trevon Pfaff second.
Refreshment of pizza was served before the race and cake afterwards.
During the October pack meeting which was held at the Brown home with a safari theme with a hunt in the back yard and the award presentation in the tent inside. Alex Laas received his Bobcat award.
The December pack meeting was singing at the Liberty County Medical Center with meeting to follow with refreshment and awards. Their popcorn awards were presented and month awards.
The Pack would like to thank everyone for purchasing popcorn this year as that will help with their activities.
This year is the 100th anniversary of scouting. They will have their Blue and Gold Banquet February 15.
